New-generation tetanus antitoxin product launched (reprinted)

Jinggangshan News (Reported by all-media journalists Tang Xiong and Xie Yingyi) — On October 17, Jiangxi Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., located in the Jinggangshan Economic Development Zone, unveiled its next-generation tetanus antitoxin product. This product redefines the standards for tetanus prevention and treatment, backed by three domestically unique technological breakthroughs.

This newly launched next-generation tetanus antitoxin product differs from traditional ampoule packaging by being enclosed in medical-grade glass vials, which effectively prevent glass fragments from contaminating the solution and eliminate the risk of heat-induced damage to protein activity. As a result, clinical use is significantly enhanced in terms of both safety and convenience. In terms of production technology, the company has invested 55 million yuan to upgrade its manufacturing line, achieving three major breakthroughs: the elimination of toluene, the removal of the preservative m-cresol, and the implementation of Pasteur virus inactivation technology. Thanks to these process innovations, the new product boasts an average specific potency of 75,000 IU/gp or higher. Notably, while maintaining exceptional efficacy, the new product also reduces the incidence of adverse reactions to approximately 0.03%, far below the industry average.
